Grana Padano is Italy’s most-produced cheese, Grana Padano comes from the Po River Valley and is a Protected Designation of Origin (DOP).
Grana Padano is a semi-fat hard cheese obtained from cooked and slowly matured paste. Though similar to Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, the younger Grana Padano cheeses are less crumbly, milder and less complex in flavour than their more famous, longer-aged relative. It has a delicate, savoury, mild taste but is not piquant.
